CBITS is a school-based intervention delivered in both group and individual formats, intended to reduce symptoms of PTSD, depression, and behavioral difficulties while improving functioning, grades, attendance, peer and parental support, and coping skills. It has been implemented with students from grade 5 through grade 12 who have witnessed or experienced traumatic events, including community and school violence, accidents and injuries, abuse, domestic violence, and natural or human-caused disasters.
